Blue and White combinations are refreshing and soothing all at the same time.  Gretchen Johnson, an artist , who paints wonderful, happy paintings perfect for a summer-house (visit her at: www.gretchenjohnson.net) had her home featured in BHG several years ago and it still looks fresh today…   In her Dining room she used Brunschwig & Fils Bromley Hall fabric on the Dining chairs as seen above.  One of my favorite fabrics for a Kitchen or Dining area!  Today I have a selection of remnants available including Bromley Hall!! Contact me if you would like one of these lovely fabrics.

I am loving Daryl Carter…………

His work is fresh, inviting and inspirational!

He uses blue and white porcelain in an almost spiritual way…

Daryl Carter, The New Traditional - a must have

The New Traditional by Daryl Carter is a fabulous inspiration for those of us mixing traditional with modern, his mastery of mixing often eludes most.  His ability to ‘keep it clean and cohesive’ is amazing!

I am loving the contemporary abstract art as backdrops…

Think Rothko…

I love the paintings that evoke a sense of water…

You may like these wonderful paintings by Architect Steve Giannetti, found on 1st Dibs…

    Hi Laurie!
Good to see you back blogging! I too love blue and white. For me, it’s in the form of antique b/w ginger jars! I think they are such a classic design element. There were several years where I didn’t love my collection quite as much, but something about moving into the farmhouse has made me love it all over again! I even have two large antique vases on one of the porches!
Can’t wait to hear all about your new adventures!
    We’ll talk soon;)
